About the Conference
The expanding role of artificial intelligence, automation and digital technologies is reshaping organisations, markets and societies. These developments create opportunities for innovation, productivity and growth, while raising critical questions about human agency, equitable participation, ecological responsibility and institutional preparedness. How can technological advancement support human well-being? How can organisations pursue innovation while responding to environmental limits and social inequalities? What forms of leadership, governance and collaboration can help institutions withstand disruption and adapt responsibly?
The International Conference on “Industry 5.0: Human-centricity, Sustainability & Resilience” (ICHSR)brings these questions into a shared interdisciplinary conversation. Guided by the theme “Reimagining the Future through Human–Technology Collaboration,” the conference seeks to explore how human capabilities and technological intelligence can work together to create enduring economic, social and environmental value.
Since its inception in 1995, Institute of Management and Information Science (IMIS) Bhubaneswar recognises the need to examine how technological transformation can advance organisational performance while supporting human well-being, social equity and environmental responsibility. The conceptualisation of ICHSR emerges from this concern and from the understanding that future managers must be equipped to address the interdependence of business decisions, technological change and societal outcomes.
By organising this conference, IMIS seeks to create an interdisciplinary forum where scholars, industry professionals, policymakers and students can explore the possibilities and challenges of human–technology collaboration. The five conference tracks connect this central theme with marketing, finance and economics, human resources, decision science, and general management and social sciences, encouraging participants to examine shared concerns across disciplinary boundaries.
