The economic liberalization has brought drastic changes in the corporate environment. Specialization is the need of the hour. The most happening sector is the financial sector. To cater to the changing requirement of the financial sector, the course Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Control is designed to prepare the best finance professionals in the country. This full time program provides necessary education for students seeking finance positions in industry, in financial institutions, or in government or in non-profit organizations. It seeks to equip the students with conceptual and analytical skills for financial decision making and offers insights into how the financial markets function.
Career Prospects
Completion of this program provides students with theoretical & practical knowledge for successful attainment of management positions in Insurance sectors and Banking sectors etc. The curriculum combines strengths in management with technical skills and internship opportunities in each area. This program is designed in such a way that 100% placement can be arranged for the students.
The program will have 39 papers to be covered in Six trimesters. Besides 32 Full Credit Courses, and 10 Half Credit Courses, there will be 2 more courses carrying 100 marks each viz. 1. Summer training & Report and 2. Dissesertation and Viva Voce. After three terms a student is required to undergo summer training for 8 weeks in a designated company arranged by the institute carrying 100 marks. Before the completion of the program a student has to submit a dissertation report on a subject mutually decided by the student and his/her guide carrying 100 marks.
